Follow us--- Make it pretty now, Sophomores. A wide open race. .. OZARKS" U. S. A. The 1960 Homecoming, with the theme "Ozarks.. U.S. A., began on Thursday evening, September 15, as the cheerleaders led the student body in the annual snake dance. The climax of the evening was a pep rally and bonfire held on the playground. The faculty judged the Sophomores as the loudest cheering group, and awarded them the pep jug. The parade was held Friday morn- ing at 10 o'clock and in the afternoon the students returned to school in their Ozark dress for the Kangaroo Court. In the evening the Rockets started the football season off right by defeat- ing the Maddock Bobcats 48-0. After the game the Student Council spon- sored the annual alumni dance in the basement of the gymnasium. Reigning over the festivities were Queen Joelyn and King Bob with their attendants: Bill J., Judy T., Ron B., Bonnie B., Sharon A., and Archie G. A roaring bonfire?
