Coached by Robert King, the Central football team went undefeated in the tough 11-man Central North Dakota Conference, which enabled them to cop CNDC play for the first time in five years. Elected by their teammates as the Most Valuable Players were Bill Johnson and Bob Sundberg, both seniors of NRHS. The Rockets, sparked by six returning lettermen, totaled 188 points in five games for a 37.6 average while holding their opponents to 12 points for an average of 2.4 The future looks bright for the Rockets as many underclassmen saw much action in the five games played this year.
