Gustaf nn, E. Hoffman. THE BAND The F.H.. Band i very popular not only in and around Flemington but i now con idered one of the b-etter bands in the tate. The Band had the honor of doing the initial half-time how at an Army game at Fort Dix. Our Band was alway pre ent at our football game , per– forming unu ual formation including a pre– election donkey and elephant and an elaborate program on TI1ank giving Day. Because our Band con idered it their duty to our school to be pre ent at all our games they turned down invitations to play at both the Bamberger' and Macy' parade as well a an opportunity to perform during a game that wa televi ed. Thi year the Band had the honor of par– ticipating at the 19'53 herry Blo om Festi,al in Wa hington, D . . Much hard work wa involved in getting the fine reputation the Band has earned, and Mr. Kraus certamly JeserYe congratulation for the fine work he has done with our Band.
