( Jesters Speak Out "The team talked a lot this year," said Mario Herrera, Coach of the Je ters. Del Norte Jest– er , the peech Team, i an organization that promotes excellence in public speaking and repre ents the Knights locally, tatewide, and nationally. The Je ters promote self-esteem, develop inter chool relationship and increa e literary knowledge. The Jester competed in 15 tournaments against school throughout New Mexico, Ari– zona, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma and Califor– nia. Del Note ho ted a tournament in February which had a great turn-out. In February, at the Tao High chool Speech Tournament, Chri Keithley took rust place in Oral Interpretation and third in Dramatic In– terpretation. Chris al o placed first with Mar– co Trujillo in Duet-Acting. arah Thomp on Marco Trujillo, Gerry Prindiville and Chris Keithley fight over their speech team friend, Mario. Speech placed rust in Humorous Interpretation and also made the first round in Oral Interpretation. The peech team al o placed third in weep take .
