Under Mrs. Irene Hartung, the ranks increased from seven to eleven, and Mrs. Wilma Kern, present adviser, reor– gan ized the activity and created a Jayvee squad first headed in 1945 by James Keefe and Donald McNitt. Mem– bers move up to the varsity as vacancies occur. Following the precedent for a senior to be chosen head cheerleader, Barbara Hagaman was fall leader and Leo Phillips, spring leader.
