The Warriors' fight was led by Clarke, Roche and Donnelly, who dropped through 12, 1 I and 8 points respectively. This game was the first conference loss for the Red and Blue. Feb. 27- Eimira Souths ide Determined that they would not lose the championship, the Ind ians took the measure of Elmira Scuthside. Led by John Donnelly's 16 points and Ben Clarke' s 10, the Northmen ended up in front, 62-39. March 5-Endi cott End ing the conference season in a blaze of glory the Indians virtually slaughtered a very weak U.E. team, 71 -35 . This game was prob– ably the most exc iting played all season, not only for the team, because it meant the first champ ionship team North has ever had, but a lso for Bucky Roche, North star forward. March 6-Hornell Still pepped up from winning the champion– ship, and also governed by the thought of Qaining revenge for a mid -season setback, the Big Red Indians climaxed the regular season with hard earned victory from the Red Raiders from Hornell. Buck Roche with 20 points, and John Donnelly with 11, led the scoring parade; however, much praise gees to Ben Clarke. Even though he had only 8 counters he made all of them in the last quarter and they were instrumental in keeping North ahead in the 59-54 contest. March 13- Johnson City Even champions are upset, and such was the case in the Section IV playoff game with the J .C. Wildcats. Fighting hard to overcome on early deficit, the Indians could not seem to overtake the Maroon team, fall ing 2 points short in the end. Roche, Donnelly and Clarke led the crusade, hitting for 21, 11 and 10 points, respectively, but their efforts were in vain, as the game ended 54 -52. Page Sixty- F1ve
