Binghamton North High School 1955 Yearbook (Binghamton, NY) - Full Access

There is music in the air around North any year and especially 1954-1955. This yearbook of ours promises to be a record album oi many favorite hits. For you who have had a part in the events, big and small at North, this album will grow in value in the years ahead. Looking back we remem– ber the good things of our life here at North. Most important are the friendships and associations that make life worthwhile. One of our big aims for everyone of you is that you get y<>ur full share. As I write this, our arrangers, shutter clickers and business staffare blending to– gether into one harmonious tune, the best of everything for our 1955 Wampum. At North this year we reached an all-time high in athletics with fourteen teams in action. little Theatre Guild with two double -cast productions again won audiences few schools could match. Our cheerleaders be– sides giving top performances all year earned, by hard work, long-needed uni– forms. For a third year, a North essay took top honors and brought us permanent possession of the Kiwanis Trophy. Our student council has been led by two active, loyal sets of officers and they have gone forward with plans for all of us including good assemblies and a new Handbook. All these and many more big dividends have come to North from our investment in teacher -pupil teamwork. For each teacher and pupil at North, I wish a generous por– tion of the deep satisfaction that comes from winning together. Page 7
