Tri-Hi-Y Creating, maintaining, and extending throughout the home, school and community high standards of Christian character is the purpose of the Tri-Hi-Y Organization. Go– ing hand in hand with this purpose is a slo– gan which reads, "pure thoughts, pure words, pure actions." With red, white, and blue representing the girls as their colors, Tri-Hi- Y participates in many projects and school functions. The purpose ofthe club is to promote a better understanding between members, set good examples for others to follow and to participate in many charitable activities and projects. Of course, they have recreation too, con– sisting of dances, parties, and other forms of teenage enjoyment. This fine Christian organization has much to offer. Groups from the lo– cal high schools hold their meetings and get together for some fun . This year the Y -Teens at North held a noon-hour dance in the gym. Since it is a world-wide organization it has groups in 63 countries. Last January the local conference was held in nearby Utica.
