Chenango Forks High School 1967 Yearbook (Chenango Forks, NY) - Full Access

28 Dedication The responsibility of dedicating a yearbook is one of the most demanding and important decisions a staff en– counters. The individual chosen must serve as an example, a credit to the book and school he represents. Such a person must typify the spirit and ideals of his school– what it is and should be. He must be someone willing to bend with interest, being both vigorous and effective with those whose lives he touches. Mr. Paul O'Donnell is, indeed, such a person. As head of the Guidance Department, he is the personification of the above traits. Mr. O'Donnell was brought up in the near-by town of Cortland; his high school days were spent in Truxton, New York. He returned to Cortland for his college days, and attended Colgate University, eventually obtaining both a B.S. and an M.S. in education. He taught in Cortland and Whitney Point before coming to the Forks. ln his capacity as head of our school's Guidance Department, we can assume that his influence has been instrumental in aiding the students of our school to lead lives a useful and conscientious citizens. For these reasons we dedicate the 1967 Tioughniogan to him.
