52 Three hours of concentration, in– cluding essays, highlights a junior'swinter day. January's 19-inch snowfall brought a heavy responsibility to the branches of the flowering crab apple tree in the library courtyard. Rural areas mean lots of wood burning. With this year's mild winter, many wood– piles still stood untouched by mid-season. Framed by grapevines a vehicle of another season languishes under a ma at snow.
