HELEN HENDERSON, Advisor The Student Council, governing organization of the student body, has as its main objectives service and leadership to the school. It is the only student organization in which students' ideas are brought up and considered. The projects for the year 1960-1961 were: the traditional dance, "The First Fall Fling," the sole of athletic passes for football and basketball games, the sale of Chenango Valley sweat shirts. and a safety program to aid students walking to and from school. A new function the Student Council is undertaking is the foreign exchange student program in cooperation with the Parent Teachers Association. The Student Council this year worked unceasingly towards a goal of good sportsmanship and leadership among students and administration under the supervision of their advisor, Mrs. Helen Henderson.
