Cook The first National Senior Honor Society at Chenango Valley was founded in February 1960. The Society is pledged to service, and its main activities are devoted to helping other organizations in the school . During the past school year the Honor Society offered their services at Parents• Night and Career Day. Its members are selected annually on the basis of scholarship, leadership, service and character. Under the supervision of f'.i..rs. Zenon Janowski and fY..r. George Youngstrom, the Honor Society works to maintain a strong organization. The officers are: Jack Cook. President; .Mathew Launikitis, Vice-President; Mimi .Mangan, Secretary; Jim Cook, Treasurer; and Joe Narsavage, Sergeant-at-arms. Avis Parsons, gives recognition to the students who earn and maintain high scholarship requirements and who meet excellent standards in citizenship, leader– ship, service and character . tvbney-mak ing projects are planned and executed with a dual purpose. The first is to give an award to a graduating high school senior and to hold an annual social event for the club's members and guests.
