O'CONNELL Deposit student laud the victorious season of the Lumber– jacks grapplers. Top athletic honors were ours with a wres– tling record of ten victories and only three defeats. Expect– ant of even greater laurels next year, the team will undoubt– edly find it difficult to replace the quality of seniors, Ed Wist, Willard Decker and Gary Decker. Hopefully, the loss of these three athletes will be effectively balanced by two strong factors--nine talented and experienced starters will return to the mats next year, and a few promising prospects from the junior high squad will assume varsity status. Par– ticular strength in lower weight classes brightens the outlook as the Deposit Central High wrestlers prepare for another venturesome year, and it should be a great one.
