SUMMARY Although the Maine-Endwell Football Spartans did not finish the season with a winning record, they gave some fine team performances during the year. Especially in their victories over Johnson City and Susquehanna VaJiey. Consistently good jobs were done by many individuals as well. Notable for the Spartans: junior half-back J eff Sammon did a large share of the scoring for M. E. this season and shows great possibilities fo r next year; another junior, quarterback Tom Caminiti should help to improve on the record for 1969; and Leo Hauptileisch, a great defensive player, was named to the AU-Star STAC Team. Team captains for the squad were Bob Nickerson and J oe Lucia. We wish next year's team the best of luck.
