Susquehanna Valley High School 1964 Yearbook (Conklin, NY) - Full Access

This year our Varsity football team experienced a new sensation - winning! Under the capable leadership of our devoted coaches, Mr. Giannetto and Mr. Farrell, we achieved a 4-3-1 record, the first winning season in S. V. history. We must congratulate our excellent backs and powerful line for the tremendous job they played in achieving such a fine record. We had a couple of new opponents this year, but our biggest game was with Central. Although we lost this contest, everyone put forth a tremendous effort; but were destined to lose, it seemed, for we received one bad break after another. We once again commend our team and coaches on this our first of a long series of winning seasons. Congratulations! Varsity!
