This tied with 19.48 and 1963 for the best football team in Windsor's history. It also made them Susquenango League champions. One reason for the success of the team was their team spirit. The players believed in themselves and in their ability. There was a closeness among the team members which showed in their participation at the team breakfast. Another reason for high team morale was the " Thousand Yard Club." Anyone who broke the rules set down by the coach had to run one thousand yards after practice. Mr. Congdon is the energetic coach. His fiery half-time pep talks inspired the team to victory repeatedly. Mr. Hodack was the line-coach. Mr. Kniskern coached the defensive backs. Put these three coaches together and you have the makings of champions. 1
