AREWARDING YEAR The 1979 Honor Awards Night was held on May 30th in the High School auditorium. The induction of members into the National Honor Society was held first. It consisted of the traditional candle-lighted signing ceremony. Next, the Academic Honor Awards were received by students in grades nine through twelve who have maintained an overage of 87% or higher during the school year. Various forms af musical entertainment were provided by the students. Jose Valencia performed a violin solo and was accompanied on the piano by Mrr;.. Bowman. Loa Bagg gave her piano rendition of " Send In The Clowns." The Boys' Ensemble sang a medley of old barbershop quartet numbers. Dr. Little delivered an inspiring speech to the audience, commending the students for their perseverence and fine work. He thanked Miss Rotundo and Mrs. Hinman for their time and energy spent coordinating the evening. Loa Bagg Nannette receives a second year aw:ud.
