TIME IS SO SHORT ETERNITY IS SO LONG The daily retreat schedule provid d for three conferences by Father O'Dwyer. Here, the second morning ion hows the tudents intent upon Father's pointers for making their live God·centered. Lively illustrations and timely stories helped Father drive home the e ntials, as well a providing a few lighter moments of needed relaxation. Spiritual reading, rosary, examination of conscience and Benediction of the Most Ble d Sacrament rounded out the day. Retreat a spiritual awakening for the entire student body. Just as our physical body needs nounshmcnt, so does our spiritual nature - the soul. The e three days of prayer and sacnfice arc the most significant of the enttrc school year. The extension of the Holy Year to the entire world, as well as unsettled condtttOns in international affairs, made this retreat deeply inspirational and serious. Rev. Timothy O'Dwyer, S. ]., was our Retreat Master for 1951. Ray Rice, Frank Knapp, Virginia Quill, John Farrell and Suzanne Weirich make the most of an opportunity to get Father's advice during th retreat days. 49
