Greene High School 1967 Yearbook (Greene, NY) - Guest Access

Dedication "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I... took the one less traveled by and that has made all the difference." These words, once written by Robert Frost, could be applied to another traveler of this same road --Mr. Bernard N. Ziemski. As a teacher Mr. Ziemski could never be referred to as the norm, but always as the exception. He made us conscious of our real level of maturity; he brought the world into our classroom, and it became a place where we widened our spheres of knowledge and understanding. Yet the ;espect we hold for Mr. Ziemski does not stem solely from his profession, but also from the man himself. He remains an individual who will not conform to the flabby American image. For proof you need only ob– serve him peddling his bicycle around town, playing tennis in the spring. or skating in the winter. His quick wit made many a day brighter. Who could ever forget his whistling his way down the hall refusing to be dis– couraged- - It is for these reasons that we. the Class of 1967, dedicate our yearbook to Mr. Bernard N. Ziemski, sincerely thankful that he took the road less traveled by.
