R(JIU One: Mr. Gibson, Coach; W. Rapp, G. Forbes, B. Myrick, Coptam; G. Shelden, H. Dean, G . Lynk. R(JIU Two: C. Crandall, M. Hickox, D. Frink, D . Green, R. Larsson, G. Franklin, M. Eagan, D. Lynk, G . Kosowsky. The Norwich High School Rifle team joined a new league this year called the Algonkian Rifle League. The seven chools in the league are Bainbridge, Depo it, Morris, Mt. Upton, Otego, Walton and Norwich. The sharp-shooter , coached by Mr. Gibson, lo t the first several matches but made a comeback with a winning streak later in the sea on. With a squad of about 16 members the following boys shot the highe t scores: The Track team, under the leadership of Coach Grzi– bowski, finished the 1962 season with 1 win and 5 lo ses. Although this was not an extremely good record, Norwich placed second in the mile relay and fourth in the two-mile relay at the non-league meet. Captain Bruce Myrick; Harold Dean, Gary Forbe s, Gary Kosowsky, Gilbe11 Shelden, David Frink, and Richard Larsson. With the enthusiasm shown thi year and uch a large squad for next year, Norwich will be well repre ented. As always, our harp-shooter will have their aim on winning. At the League meet, Stephen John on placed fourth in the 100 yard dash, Thomas Armstrong placed second in the 440 yard run; and runners, Donald Cooper, Stephen Johnson, James Everard, andJamesJuneplaced fourth in the 880 yard relay.
