~asehall 1962 The 1962 Norwich High Baseball team compiled an over-all 8-8 season. Its main strength was in its hitting prowess with a team average of close to .300. Several members received honors at the end of the season. Jon Cook was an All– League selection for third base and Fred Goldbyand Dave O'Neil were elected to the second team. At the annual Activity Dinner, Fred Goldby received the Stott Award as the most va1 uable player, and Eric Miller was named as the 1963 Captain. 109
