Norwich High School 1963 Yearbook (Norwich, NY) - Full Access

42 J\ddrrss tn ~udrrgraduates The swami sits before his crystal bail-a ball swirling with future events at N.H.S. What does he see? Let's take a peek ... First we see a big letdown in the activities of N.H.S. and a big gap formed as the ''illustrious" Class of 196 3departs from these hallowed halls. The vitality of the Class of 1965 erases the chaos that 1964 leaves. Is that Linda Dolan and Vickie Boise in the Hotel Astor? Why, they're chatting over a glass of sparkling "lady Oairol." Norwich may see the restoration of the abominable buzzer in the telephone system. It seems that Nancy Martin and Jim Reed AND Sue Berberian and Gary Biviano are causing tangles in the wires by prolonged use. It's the first pro football game of the ye,ar and there's Tom Drake (in the white jersey) throwing his frrst pass ... oops; it was inter– cepted. New television shows appear on television. What's this we see? Isn't it The Dan DeRensis Shav replacing the Damry Thomas and Jimmy Durante Show? We hope the Underclassmen (Oasses of 1966 and 1967) don't burn the new school down. (Have a Winston!) We wonder if in future years Bonnie "Goodbye Jimmy Goodbye" Mundy, Debbie "Come Back" Moncho, Linda "Heart in Hand" Barnes, and Jeannette "Lovers Who Wander" Briggs will still be chasing the boys? The crystal ball is clouding over--the objects are becoming dimmer. Yet we wonder if there will ever be another regime as the old WESTOVER regime? (Dave, Carol, Stan, Sherrie) All kidding aside, despite the pessimism of the crystal ball, we do see a few bright spots. We the Class of 1963 wish all the classes (especially the juniors, our successors) the best of luck in the future, and we hope you make the most of the new school.
