72 !Jema ~ebate The Berna Debate Oub is a member of both the National Forensic League and the New York State High School Forensic League. At present Lucy Shelden, a senior, holds the Degree of Distinction, the highest honor the N.F.L. can award; Donna Farnham and Steven Schuelein, also seniors, hold Degrees of Excellence. Members of the club have taken part in tournaments at Schenevus, Monticello, Utica, Jeffersonville, Syracuse, and New York University. The club also played host to the Annual Elk Sponsored Tournament held here. The officers were Donna Farnham, President; Lucy Shelden, Vice-President; Steven Schuelein, Treasurer; and Martha Gever, Secretary. Their advisor was Mr. Lessard. Row One: Mr. Lessard, S.
