Brighton High School 1954 Yearbook (Rochester, NY) - Full Access
INTO THE PAGES OF HISTORY wi II go an addition: 112 more pages- your bigger than ever 1954 CROSSROADS. The new room near the Student Center saw action and cheesburg– ers this year. Action when the famous "deadline nights" showed their clock-like faces; cheese– burgers to subsist the staff unti I hours such as 11:15 p.m. when theycould all crawl out thewin– dow and head for home. Locked doors are no barrier to a CROSS– ROADS deadline! Norman Frey was our editor– in-chiefand jack of all-answers, and without whom the page you are reading would most likely sti II be a blank sheet in a print– er's stockroom in Richmond, Vir– ginia. THE GENERALPLANNINGBOARD: L TOR: Painter, Maston, Drees, Teck, Lebowitz, Frey, and Levy Senior class editor was Barbara Levy, and the remaining classes were handled by Zelda Lebowitz and her assistant, Marilyn Aprilano. Countless copy was wrought and numberless pictures snapped for the activities section under the direction of club editor, Mary Drees, assis– ted by Gail Greenfield. The administration and faculty sections were planned by associate editor, Debby Teck, and her assistant, Joan Rosenthal. Co-sports editors Rick Painter and John Tholstrup recorded the boys' athletic activities, while the girls' division was under Marilyn Maston's command, with Joan Clarridge assisting. Under Mr. Rolf Toepfer's guiding hand, the staff of '54 learned, "Never put off until tomorrow what you should have done yesterday I" CROSSROADS STAFF: L, TOR,: Leb– owitz, Drees, Bangs, Levy, Frey, Treck, Rosenthal, Rawcliffe, J. Mil– ler, Aprilano, Painter, Tbolstrup, Smith, Clarridge, Greenfield, Maston. Mr. Toepfer and Nor– man ponder headline headaches.
