2 FOREWORD Long ago the world was large and countries nearly isolated because of poor communications and transportation. Today through jet planes and wirephotos, the most distant country is now our close neighbor. We must live in harmony together. All diplomatic heads are turned to world affairs. Thus we have chosen "Around the World" for our yearbook theme. Travel with us from our tracking station as we launch the "Hiawathan" in orbit through Our World's storehouse of treasures ... the cherished days of knowledge, friendship and fun. "
