Liverpool High School 1982 Yearbook (Liverpool, NY) - Full Access
34 Class History We began our freshman year as any class before us, with the same feel ings of anticipation and hope. We were then, as we were are now, a class of many individuals that somehow pulled it all together to come out ahead. We spent our year in " the outhouse" (the name we gave affectionately to the Annex) forming new friendships and getting acquainted with high school life. The pep rally, parade, and football game at our first Homecoming started off the year with style. Our " Roast the Rams" float caught third place in the competition. And our first attempt at fund raising was a smashing success when we reached our goal for the candle sales. Back then, 1982 and all it brought with it seemed miles away. We survived our first year and now found ourselves up in the main building with the title of " sophomore." After finally learning our way around , we were accepted into the flow of upperclassmen. That year held quite a few surprises. The an– nual bonfire mysteriously started during the day, and our talent as float makers came shining through at Homecoming as we took first place with our " Cookie monster." Our class spirit was also at a high and finally, graduation!! when we took first at the pep rally. As our second year drew to a close, we had some high expectations for the upcoming year. And we weren 't disappointed! Our junior year brought with it many good times but also a few disappointments. All of our hard work on our float, the whale, was ruined. It rained on Homecoming day! But even with a soggy float we managed to clinche first place again. We were soaked to the bone, but our spirit never faultered. The football team made it to the Section Ill championships and took Liverpool to the Carrier Dome. Along with our junior year came SAT's, a lot of studying, and finally our junior prom. It was then that we realized that these really are " The Best of Times. " The year that every student looks forward to is finally upon us. We are seniors! Our magazine sales topped all previous records, and we know that the best is yet to come. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Senior Ski Weekend . (Mr. Hiller decided to stick it out for one more year!) We have the senior ball to look forward to, The day will be filled with excitement , anticipation, but also some sadness. We will all be going our own separate ways, but somehow we know that the friends we've made in high school will always be with us. For the times we 've shared as a part of Liverpool High School will forever be in our hearts and memories.
