I Want to Get Off Generally performed in the spring, this year's musical, STOP THE WORLD, I WANT TO GET OFF, was performed by a cast and crew of 89 on February 7, 8, 9, 1985. Backed by an energetic chorus and 15 outstanding musi– cians, Joe Peta and Louanne Venditti starred in this year's production as Little Chap and Evy. Although the musical may have appeared to be just a traveling circus, it ultimately dealt with a man in the 1960's who becomes so involved with money and material possessions that he loses sight of the more important things in life: love, family, and friendship. The musical was directed by Thomas Minardi. Vocal music was arranged by Stephanie Kabak and choreography was ar– ranged by Betsy McGee. Frank DeGroff directed the music and Bruce Bidwell did the lighting. The musical would not have been complete without the help of the backstage, lighting, and technical crew: Jill Carey, Col– ette Hanyak, Steve Johnson, Yvonne Koenig, Bill Krause, Julie Ernst, Jim Gabriel, Janet Hyne, Kirsten Jones, Lisa Maelsen, Leni Marshall, Dave Mouton, Tracy Wright, Susan Heinz, Sue Lee, Gina Balli, Karen Greene and Trinka Wolff. All cast and crew members are to be commended for such an excellent job! 171
