Library Club Standing: Howard Sprague, Vianne Boughton, Cynthia Horton, Debbie Markin, Lee Anne Nemier, Gloria Brown. Seated: Hazel Parsons For the second year in a row, Central's chess players have won the Y.M.C.A. Chess Tournament. Representing C.T. this year were Laszlo Koloszvary, Bradley Ransom, George Sawyer, and David Whitehead. Members of the club meet once a week to improve their skills and practice for upcoming tournaments. The activities of the Red Cross Club include making tray favors and collecting jigsaw puzzles for distribution to hospitals and nursing homes. Members of the Library Club devote study halls and free peri– ods to working in the library. Though their jobs may seem insig– nificant, their help enables the librarian to be free to help students with term papers and other assignments. 183
