Varsity Basketball First Row: S . Caldwell, T . Aaron, A. Bullock, L . Murray, R. Gregory, B. Szczechowiak, C. Caldwell . S econd Row: R. Waller, C. Hughes, K. Lewis, R. Neal, T. Neal, G . Bynum, H . Jones. Craig Caldwell out in front. The varsity basketball team's new coach, Manny Breeland, led our Lancers to the top of the C.N.Y.C. League. With Corcor– an's manpower diminished, Central had to deal with C.B.A. and Bishop Ludden, the toughest league contenders. Winning these games put us out in front. Teamwork was the key to our success. Roy Neal repeated his '67 performance, averaging 20 points per game, and was an all-around pro on the basketball court. Al Bullock and Ken Lewis gave us those extra points when we needed them. The rest of the players contributed to the perfect co– ordination and power of the team. Because of the varsity basketball team, this has been a great year for Central. 201
