Mr. John Dennin illustrates a point. The New Math Mathematics 12x, designed for seniors planning to go on to college, has been deve– loped to meet some of the modern demands of mathematics. It integrates topics from algebra, analytic geometry, spatial geome– try, trigonometry, introductory calculus, and some new subject matter into a unified course from a modern point of view. Impor– tant concepts and unifying factors in this modern mathematics include the notion of set, symbolic logic, and postulational think– ing. Mrs. Garland, senior class advisor, as well as math teacher, discusses plans for the senior prom with Sharon Krug and John Canestraro.
