4 President· Dave Kulle Secretary· VIcki Hunt \/Ice President· Chris Donohoe Treasurer· Barb Phillips The officers and the delegates for the 1970-71 Student Council were elected under a new system of petitioning rather than the old practice of nominating conventions and campaign parties. With this new system of election came many new ideas and proposals. Many of these ideas were realized and showed up in the schedule of events which the Council sponsored this year. Main events included: a Folk Fest, School Seal Contest, Christmas Semi-Formal, and a Winter Weekend. The Council is also supporting a Foster Child in Columbia and has donated funds to the newly forming Senior Lounge, Alumni Association, Argosy House, a missionary in the Philippines, and to the school for the twenty foot Christmas Tree which was placed in the courtyard. The Council ended the year with a new event at West Genesee: a Spring Weekend.
