MUSIC DEPARTMENT TWIRLERS M. Mormohn, P. Spoiler, A. DeVriu , H. Geick, A. Nelson, P. Brown, H. DeCorlo. Color and spirit were added to the football season by the joint performance of the Band, Twirlers, and Color Guard. Along with the Chorus, the combination made the music department especia lly prominent in school life this year. Besides the sparkling football enter– tainment, the Band highlighted at the an– nual Band Banquet. It has also played for assemblies and sparked many parades with snappy marches. For the benefit of the community, the band marched on Memorial Day, Fire Prevention Week, and at other times of the year. This band has been one of the most successful, copping high honors in the New York State Music Festival in March. Its various soloists also have brought high honors to the school. Fifty members of the Chorus traveled to White Plains in December to sing on N. H. S.'s "Music Is My Ma jor" program. At station WFAS, the group sang six songs. Many new numbers were sung at additional concerts and activities, in which the organ and the band also participated. f or>t row: R. Myen, M. Kipp, C. Colli"'· Second row: R. lymol\, B. Bernueol\, R.
