Nyack High School 1952 Yearbook (Nyack, NY) - Full Access

leh to ngnt. T. Valoutlno, M Bauman, Mr. Faoling, W, Wood. GOLF The Nyack golf team was hit hard by graduation, and only one veteran, Captain Bill Wood, will be back in '52. However, Coach Harold Failing believes that the new golfers coming in will round out the empty slots. Coach Failing asserts that this new blood will gre~tly improve Nyacks divot dig– gers, and is looking for– ward to an improved sea– son. BASEBALL Coach Rudy Rejholec's "Million Dollar Moundmen" returned strong and sharp to take up the pitching chores for 1952. The hurling was held up by four returning veterans-Carl Brooks, Frank Cuff, Bob Prindle, and Mike Condello who showed good stuff all the way. [90] Also back on the basepaths were eight other lettermen, all displaying both offensive and defensive skill on the field. They provide the team with a strong batting order, from the leadoff man down to the pitchers. With our all-veteran infield and reliable starting pitchers, Coach Rejholec looked forward to a good year and an Indian baseball championship in '52. Fi"t row: B. Kopenhaver, l. P1a, J. Gulezian, l.
