Varsitg 1ootball The Varsity Football team had an improved sea– son with a 4-5 record, their best finish in the last 4 years. Highlights of the season were key victories over rival Vestal and no. 2 ranked U.E. Mike Biondi, along with Captains Jeff Backer, Charley Estey and Tom Schwan, led the spirited Ithaca team. Although they finished with a dis– appointing record, the players felt the season was a success due to the spirit and the effort given by the team as a whole. 133
