Tom Auringer returned to fill the fir t pot in the da hes, and John Sexton and Mari Tirums amply filled the upporting roles. Dick Plaatsman returned in the 440 and Ron Wil on and Jum Hogan looked promi ing in the 880. Record breaking Chip Ennis, along with George Brocco and Barr Goggin accounted for the fir t place pot in the di ance run , 0 ar Palmer in the high jump, Joe Darwak in the hot, and Captain Dean Short in the pole vault were the main tay in the field events.
