Yorktown High School 1962 Yearbook (Yorktown, NY) - Full Access

District Principal Mildred E. Strang, our district principal and high school principal, is a top-grade administrator whose work is respected widely in the educational field. We at YHS know this but we know more. We know Miss Strang as an expert in dealing in the varieties of hu– man nature present in the student population of a 1962 high school. From those of us who have gloried in her straight forward praise for a job well done to those of us who have sweated over that "twice around the track" for a job not so well done, we are grateful to her for her humanness and understanding. If we succeed after graduation it will be due in no small part to the spirit of accomplishment through hard work typified in this new school under the leadership of Mildred E. Strang. 13
