Yorktown High School 1962 Yearbook (Yorktown, NY) - Guest Access

MR. H. STRATION SWAIN Give me an eye up here! We sure will, Mr. Swain, and more than that. We give you this book for all you've done for Yorktown High over the past 23 years. From the first assembly to Moving Up Day, from the Christmas Program to the Spring Concert, from raising a baton to blowing a whistle in the halls of our new school, you are a vital part of our life at Yorktown. Because of you, your sense of humour, and your "quotable quotes," our days at Yorktown have been given a lift. Also, because of your untiring work with the students, we have been able to create new musical ability or perfect what abilities we have, so it doesn't always sound as if it were "dust coming out of the horns!" We appreciate the fact that you have a wide variety of talents in the musical field. The number of activities you sponsor is just a sampling of what you've done for us. Band, Chorus, Varsity Choir, Dance Band, and other special music groups, all come under your leadership. We appreciate the many side jobs too, like writ– ing, producing and directing the Christmas Program, the Spring Concert, and writing our Alma Mater. Beat. Two. Ready Go! 5
