GRIDIRO Coach Bob tuart's Warriors achieved a record of 4 wins and 5 losses during the 1957 football season. The preview, which was slated for September 6, showed the Warrior team putting up stiff competition for West and South High. Although Eastmoor and West were scoreless, Eastmoor out-gained West in yardage by 80 yards to West's 67 yards. The Warrior team lost 6-0, but the Bull– dog team had a very spirited team to fight against. The· Warriors first game was with Bishop Watterson. coreless in the first three quarters, we came back with a sma hing 'ictory ending the game 6-0. On eptember 20, Eastmoor encountered Grove City. The Warrior team was ground conscious by handing the Greyhounds a 34-12 loss. The Warriors first crack at a City League team was with Linden-McKinley. The Warriors were set back by a score of 24-7. Linden's years of experience apd their heavy line caused Eastmoor's first defeat. 70 SUMMARY West High's game proved to be another letdown with the Cowboys pinning Eastmoor to a 13-0 win. We. got back on our feet by defeating Franklin Heights 24-0, at our homecoming game. Gahanna tripped the Warriors by a score of 28-18. Although Eastmoor out-gained Gahanna in first downs, 13-9, experience was again the main factor. A c:ostly fumble ended the Warrior drive on the Gahanna 6 yard line. The Warriors were handed a 19-0 defeat from the Bulldogs. The Warriors never gave way and although South won our team put up a mighty fight. The second game to be played on our own field was with Rosary on November 1. The victory going to the opponents 13-6. On November 8 our last game of the season was played against Bexley with the Lions victorious 14-6.
