Student Court, new this school year, is composed of seven judges- four seniors and three juniors- who are elected by the student body in May. These students are chosen on the basis of high scholastic standing. and outstanding school citizenship. The members of the court elect a chief justice who presides over the meetings and directs the proceedings. In addi– tion, a bailiff and two recorders are appointed by the judges to serve the court. Mr. Conover is the advisor and steps in whenever he thinks necessary. The purpose of Student Court is to help students who break school rules to readjust. It is set up to help and correct, not just to punish. 86 Guilty or not guilty?
