Averaging 28 pts. a game to the opponents 13.6, capturing the Eastern division crown, and setting a new city scoring record by trouncing Stivers 88-----0 the 1960 Eagle gridders completed the season with an impressive 7-3 record. The Fairmont and Springfield games were the highlights of the season. With spirited Eagle rooters filling the stands Chaminade ended Fairmont's 24 game winning streak. At Spring– field South the Eagles upset the second-ranked Springfield Wildcats. The e great victories were acknowledged at the annual football banquet held on December 13, 1960. Six seniors were specially honored. Mike Wolf was voted by his teammates as the most valuable player. enior back Bob Kosins received the "Big Eagle" award.
