For twenty years this man has set a pattern of gracious li1 ing for young people to follmL \Vben 11e asked Mr. Cleary what had been his happiest moment . he replied 11·hen he had married his \\'iie. lle has established a home and reared t11·o children in this community \Yhich he has sen·ecl. The same gentle understanding that he used 11·ith his 011·n children he has used \Yith the thousands \Yho ha1·e had to be disciplined by h im. llis happiness in just li1·ing used to be expressed by the little under-his-breath whistling that he indulged in. It gaYc him the nick-name. "T,neter''. But the second 11·orld \\'ar and his an."iety for the h igh sc1wol a lumni in it, stopped that whistle. \\' e hope hi::; expression of happiness has 11011· returned to him in his retirement. MR.
