Coach Watson Bil1 Knights Captain Harry Kalhaugh Denny Mclnteer Coach Harri on 122 The Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers basket– ball team finished the 1957-58 season with an 11-6 record. Although this was not as good as the phenomenal 18-1 mark the year before, the Tigers played some of the state's better teams, making a good showing against all of them. They won their first four games before being derailed by an under-rated St. Mary's quintet in the Lions Invitational Tourney in December. On December 27, the Falls racked up their biggest margin of victory by lashing Steubenvi11e 90-52. This avenged the loss which ruined Falls' string of 18 straight wins the year before. The Falls lost two heartbreakers to St. Vincent 47-49, and 40-41. Their last two games of the season were losses handed them by Findlay and Mansfield. In both cases Falls was in the game almost all the way, only fading in the final minutes. The Falls was led by captain and four– year man Harry Kalbaugh. The starting lineup also included Barry Anderson, Bob Randall, Bill Knights, and Denny Mclnteer. Others seeing action frequently were Jerry Johnson, George Miller, Jack Edmund, and Don Cole. Those returning next year wiU Knights, Mclnteer, and Cole. Jack Edmund
