136 The mos t spectacular and most colorful campaigning for city youth and government officials was conducted by the 1958 Senior class. One of the most outstanding features was the Republican elephant made by several of the girls of the Republican party. The donkey of the Democratic party found its way around by going from room to room making campaign speeches. For both parties there was campaigning before and after school and each had its rally to introduce its candidates. After two weeks of enthusiastic campaigning, the candidates were voted upon by the senior class. The ones elected took the city officials' places this spring for one day of running the city of Cuyahoga Falls.
