Shell collecting is the Bip– pus' pvid hobby. 138 TO THE CLASS OF 1964: For the lost twelve years you have been more or less diligently preparing yourselves to toke your places as adults in our community. Respon– sibilities of adult citizenship in– volve making a living, helping to run an effective government, and getting along pleasantly with your neighbors. The four years of your high school career have included many experiences which will help you to do these three things well. The harder you have worked in both classes and extracurricular projects, the better you are pre– pared to cope with the problems of the adult community. For some of you, there will be additional years of preparation and my very best wishes for suc– cess in college or technical insti– tute go with you. For many of you, this is the end of the period of formal preparation and you will immediately take your places in business and industry. I trust that the skills and ideals which you have developed at Macomber will enable you to reach the goals you have set for yourselves. It has been pleasant to know you and work with you during the last four years. I hope you will continue to think of yourselves as members of the Macomber family and keep in touch with us so that we may share with you your sue– cesses in life. Alvin C. Bippus
