The London Board of Education, upholding its responsibility of furnishing the best educational system possible for the youth in our area, has progressed forward in all directions toward academic achievement. The London school district has been enlarged with the acquisition of the Somerford and Deercreek elementary school districts effective as of July first, nineteen fifty-ejght. In order to balance the budget after the enlarged school district was formed, a two , mill levy was successfully presented to the voters. Development of plans for the construction of a new elementary school building to house the increased enrollment is being considered.
