10 BOARD OF EDUCATION IS RESPONSIBLE MR. A. 0. LEMASTERS, SUPERINTENDENT "Surround yourse lf with good help and give the help a chance to produce." This is the feeling of the dignified gentleman, Mr. A. 0. Lemasters, who carries well the great responsibility of super- vising the Howland school system. Prior to his appointment to this position in 1945, he was prin- cipal of Bolindale for twelve years. After graduation from Ravenna High School, he attended Akron University. He received his B.S. degree from Ohio State, his Master of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and has done additional postgraduate work at Youngstown University and Kent State University. MR. DAY, BUSINESS MANAGER Mr. Frances Day is perhaps the busiest man in the whole school. He supervises the equipment of the school, keeps all apparatus in repair, orders supplies and manages the operation of the buses. Coming to Howland in 1953, he taught industrial arts until 1957, when he took over his present posi- tion as Business Manager. Mr. Day graduated from Deming High School t hen continued his education at Ohio State Uni- versity where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Education.
