28 SEMI-FORMAL DANCE AND OPERETTA "WINTER ECSTASY" On November II, the Sophomore Class presented the Sophomore-Junior- Senior Dance with the theme of "Winter Ecstasy." The decorations of snowmen and the stage in white and blue crepe paper set the scene for an enjoyable evening. Refreshments were served by mothers of the sophomores and music was provided by AI Hreno and his band. AI was a graduate of Howland three years before. Couples toke o breok from doncing ond rest their weory feet while enjoying o lively con· versotion. During the evening Sue Vonnelli wos crowned Queen of Winter Ecstosy.
