SCIENCE CLUB The Howland Science Club is one of great significance. The forty members, all interested in some field of science, broaden their knowl- edge by making a project which is entered in e ither the Fitch Science Fair or the Kent Science Fair. At these fairs they have an oppor- tunity to win awards, but more important, they meet other teens with scientific minds. At their monthly meetings, they increase their knowledge of chemistry, biology, math, physics and related sciences with speakers on a variety of sub jects. This year Mr. Marti spoke on " Pharmacy. " Last year the club took a trip to Cleveland to the National Aeronautics and Space Admin- istration. This year the members are looking for- ward to putting on their own Science Fair. Under the f ine leadership of Mrs. Krauss, Mrs. Griffin, and Mr. Lowry, the Science Club has en joyed many experiences. Every morning the club reports to the students the weather forecast wh ich they calculate with their own equ ipment.
