HOWLAND HIGH BAND Our band has presented us with many fine programs throughout the year, under the direction of Mr. Robert Alexander. One of the highlights of the year was the fine program presented at the Packard Music Hall when our band accompanied Bill Page, veteran of the Law- rence Welk band. We were especially proud, because our band was the first high school band to present such a program at the Music Hall. In March they competed in district competition with hopes of going on to state competition later in the spring. Another highlight of this fine organization is the concert tour they are planning to take to Elkhart, Indiana. 79
