STAGE BAND "We could have danced all night ... " The Melody Kats, a group of students with a love for music, provide pleasant music for many dances in the surrounding area. The Howland Melody Kats, under the leadership of Rick Thompson, who makes all the arrangements and signs all contracts, have made great strides this year. Increasing the band 's number to 20 members, it has the big band sound when needed and breaks up into several smaller dance groups for smaller jobs. The Melody Kats are basically the band that did such an outstanding job with Bill Page earlier this year.
